National selectors have named three players as unofficial members for the upcoming India tour of Japan. The trio, brought on as net bowlers to assist the Shreyas Iyer-led squad, departed New Delhi for Tokyo on the night of Saturday, September 19.

  1. Rasikh Salam Dar (26), representing Jammu & Kashmir and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
  2. Vicky Ostwal (24), representing Maharashtra and Delhi Capitals.
  3. Kartik Tyagi (25), representing Uttar Pradesh and Kolkata Knight Riders.

The visiting Indian team is scheduled to hold a practice session on September 21 at the Sano International Stadium, followed by a bilateral T20I fixture the next day. The squad will remain in Sano for several days before heading to Nagoya for the Asian Games, where their tournament campaign begins on September 28. These additional bowlers will support the main roster, which currently stands at 14 players after Nitish Kumar Reddy was withdrawn to join the ODI team for the upcoming home series against the West Indies.

Meanwhile, the 15-member ODI side captained by Shubman Gill has been instructed to assemble in Trivandrum on September 23. The home series begins with the first ODI on September 27. Subsequent matches are scheduled for Guwahati on September 30 and New Chandigarh on October 3, followed by a five-match T20I series beginning in Lucknow on October 6.
