Published: October 29, 2026, 7:25 pm

The Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) is marking its 10th anniversary, bringing a month of community-wide health and wellness activities back to the city starting October 31, 2026. Launched under the vision of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, the initiative continues to promote the goal of 30 minutes of daily activity for 30 days. With its ‘What’s Your 30×30?’ theme, DFC 2026 invites residents and visitors to discover their own way to move and commit to 30 minutes of daily physical activity for 30 days, transforming Dubai into a vibrant citywide celebration of fitness, wellbeing and community. The Challenge has become much more than an annual fitness initiative, a decade later. Bringing communities together and making sport and physical activity an integral part of life in Dubai.”, it has helped establish a culture of active living. With government entities, private sector partners and communities working together to make fitness accessible across the city, what makes DFC special is the collective effort behind it. We are creating shared experiences that inspire healthier habits beyond the 30 days, while demonstrating what can be achieved when an entire city comes together around a shared commitment to health and wellbeing, through the continued support of our partners and the enthusiasm of our community. The key highlights unfolding across the city during DFC 2026 are listed below. With a dedicated entry point and support for handcycles, tandem bikes and adapted bicycles, dubai Ride will also welcome People of Determination. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

This year’s edition operates under the theme ‘What’s Your 30×30?’, encouraging residents and visitors to pursue personal fitness goals. The 2026 program features four flagship events, three free 30-day Fitness Villages, over 30 Community Fitness Hubs, and thousands of additional activities scheduled throughout the month.

Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, noted that the milestone anniversary reflects the enduring vision of Sheikh Hamdan. He highlighted that the initiative aims to make fitness an accessible, everyday habit for individuals of all ages and fitness levels, supporting Dubai’s goal of becoming one of the most active cities globally.

Echoing these sentiments, Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), described the calendar as a testament to the city’s unity. He noted that the initiative seeks to foster healthier habits that extend well beyond the initial 30-day challenge period through collaborative, shared experiences.

The opening weekend features the return of the Dubai Ride, presented by DP World, following a record-breaking 2025 turnout of 40,000 cyclists.
