Mercedes Formula 1 driver George Russell has offered his forecast for the 2026/27 Premier League season, tipping Arsenal to claim the title. The bottom half of the table begins with Everton and Brentford, while Tottenham Hotspur, despite being the summer’s highest spenders, are placed in 13th. Leeds United and Crystal Palace follow, while newly promoted clubs Ipswich Town and Coventry City are expected to narrowly avoid the drop.
Russell’s forecast for the relegation zone includes Fulham, who he predicts will finish 18th under the guidance of new manager Alvaro Arbeloa. Hull City is the only other newly promoted side slated for the bottom three, while Sunderland is projected to finish in 20th place following their return to the top flight.
Separately, Manchester United legend Roy Keane has also weighed in on the title race, backing Arsenal to retain their crown. Keane argues that the Gunners possess the strongest squad in the league, capable of securing back-to-back titles. However, the former midfielder remains critical of his old club, suggesting that Manchester United lacks the defensive stability required for a serious title challenge. He also noted that the squad requires an additional midfielder to compete at the highest level.
