The Asian Cricket Council confirmed on Thursday that the 2026 Women’s Asia Cup will feature a marquee match between India and Pakistan on September 5. The tournament, which marks the sixth edition played in the T20 format, is scheduled to begin on August 28 with an opening encounter between Thailand and Hong Kong.
A total of eight teams are divided into two groups for the competition. Group A includes India, Pakistan, Thailand, Hong Kong, and China, while Group B consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the UAE, and Indonesia. The top two finishers from each group will advance to the semi-finals, leading up to the tournament final on September 13.
All matches are slated to take place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium and will be played under lights.
