Liverpool have had a £50m offer for Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh turned down. The 22-year-old Gambia international, who moved to the Seagulls from Newcastle for £30m in 2024, has recorded 10 goals and nine assists across 73 appearances for the club. Currently, Minteh is sidelined while recovering from a leg injury suffered during a pre-season friendly against Roma earlier this month.
Strengthening the wide attacking positions remains the primary objective for Reds manager Andoni Iraola following the departure of Mohamed Salah. While the club continues to explore various market options, they have already bolstered their squad this summer with the £34m signing of Victor Munoz from Osasuna, who offers versatility across the front line.
Beyond Minteh, Paris St-Germain forward Bradley Barcola remains a key target for Liverpool. However, negotiations have stalled due to a significant gap in valuation for the 23-year-old France international. While Barcola is reportedly open to a move to Anfield, PSG are holding out for a fee near £145m, whereas Liverpool are currently only prepared to pursue a deal in the region of £100m. The report also notes that the priority for Reds boss Andoni Iraola for the remainder of the transfer window is to strengthen his wide attacking options after the departure of Mohamed Salah, and Liverpool will continue to look at a number of possibilities to test the market.
