League Two Fleetwood Town will host Premier League champions Arsenal in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup. The Lancashire side reached this stage for the first time in their history with a 1-0 win over Sheffield United on Wednesday night, settled by an own goal from Rhys Norrington-Davies.
And their reward was a plum home tie against Mikel Arteta’s men, who beat Ipswich Town 4-2 on Tuesday. Elsewhere, holders Manchester City will welcome Brighton to Etihad Stadium if they beat Norwich in Thursday’s remaining tie. Meanwhile, Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso will visit his former side Liverpool in a massive all-Premier League clash.
Other Carabao Cup Fixtures
League One sides Bradford and Peterborough will face off for a place in the quarter-finals after defeating Leyton Orient and Barnsley respectively. The remaining matches are all-top-flight encounters, including Fulham hosting Crystal Palace, Bournemouth playing Aston Villa, Brentford visiting Sunderland, and Everton welcoming Newcastle United.
