The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially scheduled its 95th Annual General Meeting (AGM) to take place on September 18, 2026. The session will be held at the board’s headquarters in Mumbai, with proceedings set to commence at 11:30 AM IST.
Confirmation of the date and venue was issued by the office of BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia to the various state associations on Tuesday. The assembly will focus on a comprehensive agenda, including the transaction of formal business and the review of the board’s administrative and financial standing.
A significant portion of the meeting will be dedicated to financial oversight, specifically the adoption of the treasurer’s report and the audited accounts for the 2025-26 fiscal year. Additionally, the board will finalize the annual budget for the 2026-27 period and appoint auditors for the upcoming year, including the determination of their remuneration.
Governance and committee appointments form another core pillar of the agenda. The meeting will include the election and induction of two General Body representatives to the IPL Governing Council, alongside one representative from the Indian Cricketer’s Association. Furthermore, the board plans to appoint members to the Ombudsman and Ethics Officer roles, as well as the Standing, Cricket, and Umpire Committees.
The BCCI is also moving forward with the Junior Cricket Committee, having invited applications for five specific positions. Interested candidates must submit their applications by September 5, with the final selection process involving a screening, shortlisting, and personal interview phase.
Other key agenda items include the ratification of rules established by the Apex Council, the appointment of BCCI representatives to the International Cricket Council, and the formal consideration of the internal committee report regarding the Prevention of Sexual Harassment Policy.
The assembly will also review reports and recommendations from the Apex Council, the CEO, and the Governing Council to help shape future policy directions. Additionally, the board will address the potential grant of associate membership to the Cricket Association of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
The meeting will conclude with the consideration of any motions submitted by full members at least 21 days in advance, as well as any necessary business introduced by the president or informal matters permitted by the chairperson.
Before the new business begins, the board will confirm the minutes from the 94th Annual General Meeting, which was held on September 28, 2025, at the same Mumbai headquarters.
