The UAE national golf contingent is scheduled to fly to Cairo, Egypt, on Tuesday morning to participate in the Arab Golf Championship. The tournament, which features categories for Youth, Juniors, U13s, and Girls, will host national teams from across the Arab world, utilizing both the Madinaty Golf Club and Mirage Golf Club as the official venues for the event.

Leading the official delegation for the Emirates Golf Federation are President Major General Pilot (Ret.) Abdullah Al Sayed Al Hashemi and Secretary General Khalid Al Shamsi, supported by national team coach Faycal Serghini. The federation views this participation as a strategic effort to sustain a strong regional footprint while exposing emerging Emirati talent to high-level competition against the best young golfers in the area.

The UAE roster is set to challenge for top honors in both team and individual standings, notwithstanding the absence of some players due to academic and personal obligations. In the Girls’ U21 division, the UAE will be represented by Sara Ali and Aassiya Saleem. Meanwhile, the U13 squad includes Zayed Ali, Zayed Al Mazmi, and Saif Lootah. Individual entries include Neyl Cherrat, who is set to compete in the U21 category, and Mohammed Thabet, who will participate in the Boys’ U18 event.

Through this tournament, the federation aims to foster the development of its promising athletes, ensuring they gain vital experience on the regional stage. The UAE remains committed to consistent involvement in international golfing fixtures, reflecting its broader strategy to cultivate the next generation of professional golfers from the nation.
