Brighton & Hove Albion winger Yankuba Minteh is actively pushing for a move to Liverpool this summer, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano. The Merseyside club has already pursued the 20-year-old aggressively, though their two opening bids—reportedly valued at £50 million and £60 million—have been rejected by the Seagulls.
Minteh, a natural left-footed right winger, has become a concrete target for Liverpool as they seek to bolster their attacking options. Since joining Brighton from Newcastle United in 2024 for a reported £30 million, he has made 73 appearances, contributing ten goals and nine assists. While the player is reportedly keen on the switch, Liverpool is simultaneously evaluating other targets. Romano noted that manager Andoni Iraola is looking to secure two wingers before the transfer window closes, with PSG’s Bradley Barcola remaining a primary objective.
The search for reinforcements follows the departure of long-time talisman Mohamed Salah, who left the club on a free transfer. While Liverpool previously signed Victor Munoz from Osasuna, the new arrival is primarily suited for the left flank, leaving the right side of the attack as a priority. Minteh, despite being considered somewhat raw in his final delivery, is noted for his significant pace and willingness to challenge defenders.
In other transfer news, Liverpool also attempted to secure Real Madrid attacker Endrick on loan, but the Brazilian has turned down the opportunity. Since his 2024 move from Palmeiras, the 20-year-old has struggled to secure a consistent starting role at the Santiago Bernabeu, managing seven goals and one assist across 40 appearances. Although he spent a productive loan spell at Lyon last season—recording eight goals and eight assists in 21 games—Endrick is determined to remain in Madrid.
The forward reportedly intends to fight for his place under new manager Jose Mourinho, who has provided assurances regarding his playing time, despite the recent arrivals of Yan Diomande and Carlos Espi at the club. The report also notes that the transfer guru has also claimed that Minteh is keen to join the 20-time English champions. The report also notes that the Brazil international has struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular at the Santiago Bernabeu since his much-anticipated move from Palmeiras in 2024. The report also notes that he has also insisted Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) winger Bradley Barcola remains the top target for the Reds. The report also notes that he is blessed with bags of pace and loves to take on his man but is still pretty raw in terms of final product.
