Manchester City have officially confirmed the signing of 22-year-old Brazilian winger Allan Elias from Palmeiras on a five-year contract. The move marks the club’s sixth summer arrival, following the acquisitions of Elliot Anderson, Geronimo Rulli, Ayyoub Bouaddi, Jeremy Monga, and Pierce Charles.
High Expectations and Financial Terms
Reports indicate that City has agreed to pay approximately €40 million ($47 million) for the prospect. Elias, who emerged from the academy ranks at the Sao Paulo club, made 96 first-team appearances before his move to England. City’s Director of Football, Hugo Viana, praised the arrival in a statement on Monday: “Allan is a really exciting player, and we think he will be a big addition to the squad. He has shown throughout his short career so far that he will fight to be the best he can be.”
