England bowler Brydon Carse is currently the subject of an investigation by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) following an incident at a nightclub in Derby on Saturday evening. He was accompanied by teammate Matthew Potts and is scheduled to rejoin the squad on Monday ahead of the second Test against Pakistan.
This development arrives just five days after Test captain Joe Root, 35, emphasized the importance of player conduct. Speaking to Sport, Root noted that the team has occasionally fallen short of expectations recently and urged his players to be “really good role models and human beings.” He added that representing the country in the best possible light is a priority.
